Non-repudiation in the context of cybersecurity is where a person involved in a third-party communication cannot deny the authenticity of their transaction1 because the system can prove the integrity of transaction. The user can’t say that the transaction didn’t happen (for example) because that’s not what the system says. Some methods of proving that the user actions really happened is for system to store the step-by-step process of the transaction.
